How to Set Up Your Email in Mac Mail

This guide shows you how to set up your Miss Hosting email in Mac Mail using IMAP. You’ll enter your email address, password, and mail server settings to start sending and receiving emails.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • Your full email address.

  • Your email account password.

  • Your Miss Hosting mail server settings.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Add a New Email Account

In Mac Mail:

  1. Open Mail.

  2. Click Mail in the top menu.

  3. Select Accounts.

  4. Click Add Account.

  5. Select Add another email account.

2. Enter Your Account Details

Enter the following information:

  • Full Name: Your first and last name.

  • Email Address: Your full email address.

  • Password: Your email account password.

3. Configure Incoming Mail

Select IMAP and enter your incoming mail settings:

  • Mail Server: Your Miss Hosting mail server, for example cpsrv01.misshosting.com.

  • Username: Your full email address.

  • Password: Your email account password.

  • 4. Configure Outgoing Mail

    Enter the outgoing mail settings:

    • Mail Server: Your Miss Hosting mail server, for example cpsrv01.misshosting.com.

    • Username: Your full email address.

    • Password: Your email account password.

⚠️ Important: Even if the username field is marked as optional, enter your full email address as the username.

5. Complete the Setup

Save the account settings and finish the setup.

Mac Mail will now connect to your Miss Hosting email account.

Troubleshooting

Mac Mail cannot connect to the server.

Check that your email address, password, username, and mail server are entered correctly.

You don't know your mail server.

Check the Manual Settings section in cPanel to find your correct mail server.
