Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
Your @mhmail.se email address.
Your email account password.
Outlook installed on your computer.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Open Outlook
If this is your first time opening Outlook, the Set up a new email account wizard will start automatically.
If you already use Outlook:
Open Settings.
Select Add new account.
2. Select IMAP
Enter your @mhmail.se email address.
Select IMAP as the account type.
3. Enter the Incoming Mail Settings
Enter the following IMAP settings:
Account type: IMAP
Incoming server:
imap.mhmail.sePort:
993Encryption type: SSL/TLS
Username: Your full @mhmail.se email address
Password: Your email account password
4. Enter the Outgoing Mail Settings
Enter the following SMTP settings:
Outgoing server:
smtp.mhmail.sePort:
587Encryption type: SSL/TLS
Username: Your full @mhmail.se email address
Password: Your email account password
💡 Tip: Use your full email address as the username for both incoming and outgoing mail.
5. Complete the Setup
Click Continue to add the account.
Outlook will verify the settings and connect your @mhmail.se email account.
Troubleshooting
Outlook cannot connect to the server.
Check that your email address, password, server names, ports, and encryption settings are entered correctly.
You cannot send emails.
Make sure the SMTP username and password are filled in and that the outgoing server is set to smtp.mhmail.se with port 587 and SSL/TLS encryption.
Summary
Your @mhmail.se email account is now configured in Outlook using IMAP and is ready to send and receive emails.
