How to Set Up Your Email in Outlook on Windows Using IMAP

This guide shows you how to set up your Miss Hosting email in Outlook for Windows using IMAP. You’ll enter the incoming and outgoing mail server settings and complete the account setup.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • Your full email address.

  • Your email account password.

  • Your Miss Hosting incoming and outgoing mail server settings.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open Outlook

If this is your first time using Outlook, the Set up a new email account window will open automatically.

If you already have an account:

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Select Add new account.

2. Select IMAP

  1. Enter your email address.

  2. Select IMAP as the account type.

3. Configure Incoming Mail

Click Continue to save the settings and add your email account to Outlook.

Troubleshooting

Outlook cannot connect to the mail server.

Check that your email address, password, server names, ports, and encryption settings are entered correctly.

You don't know your server name.

Check your Miss Hosting email server settings for the correct incoming and outgoing server information.
