Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
Access to your Miss Hosting account.
Access to your existing email accounts.
The login details and server settings for your current email provider.
An email client that supports IMAP.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Create Your Email Accounts
Create the same email accounts at Miss Hosting that you currently use with your old provider.
If you’re using cPanel, you can create them through your control panel.
Make sure the email addresses are spelled exactly the same as your existing accounts.
2. Set the Account Passwords
Set passwords for your new Miss Hosting email accounts.
You can use the same passwords as your old accounts or create new ones.
3. Add Both Accounts to Your Email Client
Add your old and new email accounts to your email client at the same time.
Use IMAP for both accounts.
Use the correct username and password for each account.
Make sure the incoming and outgoing server settings are correct.
4. Check Your Email Server Settings
The incoming and outgoing mail servers for Miss Hosting will be different from those of your old provider.
Check your old provider's server settings and make sure both accounts are configured correctly.
5. Move Your Emails
Once both accounts are connected:
Open the folders of your old email account.
Select the emails you want to migrate.
Drag and drop them into the corresponding folders of your Miss Hosting account.
💡 Tip: Keep both accounts connected until you have confirmed that all important emails have been transferred successfully.
Troubleshooting
The migration is taking a long time.
Large mailboxes can take some time to transfer. Keep your email client open and allow the transfer to finish.
Some emails are not transferring.
Check that both accounts are configured using IMAP and that the email client is connected to both servers.
Summary
Your email accounts and messages are now migrated to Miss Hosting. Keep your old email account available until you’ve confirmed that everything you need has been transferred successfully.
