PrivateVPN for iOS: Troubleshooting Connection Issues

This guide explains how to troubleshoot PrivateVPN connection issues on iOS by changing VPN protocols, enabling StealthVPN, and sending connection logs to support.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Connect Using a Different VPN Protocol

  1. Open the PrivateVPN app and tap Menu.

  2. Select VPN Settings.

  3. Tap VPN Protocol.

  4. Select OpenVPN (TCP+443).

  5. Return to the main screen.

  6. Tap the ON/OFF button to reconnect.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, repeat the steps and select IKEv2 as the VPN protocol.








2. Enable StealthVPN

  1. Tap Menu, then select VPN Settings.

  2. Enable StealthVPN.

  3. Return to the main screen and try connecting again.







4. Send the Connection Log to Support

If you're still experiencing connection issues, send the connection log to our support team so they can investigate the problem and recommend a solution.

  1. Tap Menu, then select VPN Settings.

  2. Select Connection Log.

  3. Tap Copy Log.

  4. Email the copied log to [email protected].
