How to Block or Unblock an IP Address in cPanel

This guide shows you how to find visitor IP addresses and block or unblock them in cPanel.

Prerequisites

  • An active Miss Hosting web hosting package.

  • Access to your cPanel account.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Log in to cPanel

Log in to cPanel through your Miss Hosting Customer Zone.

2. Find Visitor IP Addresses

In cPanel:

  1. Go to the Statistics section.

  2. Click Visitors under Latest Visitors.

  3. Select the domain you want to check.

  4. Click the magnifying glass icon.

You’ll see a list of recent visitors and their IP addresses.

3. Block an IP Address

In cPanel:

  1. Go to the Security section.

  2. Click IP Blocker.

  3. Under Add an IP to deny, enter the IP address or domain name you want to block.

  4. Click Add.

💡 Tip: Make sure you enter the correct IP address before blocking it. Blocking the wrong address may prevent legitimate visitors from accessing your website.

4. Unblock an IP Address

To remove an existing IP block:

  1. Stay on the IP Blocker page.

  2. Scroll to Current blocked IP addresses.

  3. Click Remove next to the IP address you want to unblock.

Troubleshooting / FAQs

I blocked the wrong IP address

Open IP Blocker, find the IP address under Current blocked IP addresses, and click Remove.

A visitor can still access my website

Check that you blocked the correct IP address and that the address appears under Current blocked IP addresses.

Result

You can now find visitor IP addresses in cPanel and block or unblock IP addresses as needed.
