How to Add HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to Your Website

Sitebuilder lets you add custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to your entire website or individual pages. Choose the method based on where you want the code to apply.

Prerequisites / Requirements

  • Access to your Sitebuilder.

  • Secure and tested HTML, CSS, or JavaScript code.

  • Basic knowledge of the code you want to add.

⚠️ Important: Custom code can affect your website's appearance and functionality. Only add code from trusted sources and test it before publishing.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Option 1: Add Code to the Entire Website

Use Site Scripts when you want code to apply across your entire website. This is useful for analytics, tracking pixels, chat tools, and other external services.

  1. Click Pages in the top menu.

  2. Select Site Scripts.

  3. Choose Head Scripts or Body Scripts.

  4. Paste your code into the appropriate field.

  5. Click Save Changes.

💡 Tip: Use Head Scripts for tracking and metadata, and Body Scripts for functional scripts.

Option 2: Add Code to a Specific Page or Section

Use the Embed widget to add content such as YouTube videos, maps, social media feeds, forms, or custom HTML.

  1. Click Add Content in the top menu.

  2. Select Add Widget.

  3. Find the Embed widget.

  4. Drag and drop it to the desired location on the page.

  5. Click the widget and select Edit Code.

  6. Paste your code.

  7. Click Save.

Option 3: Add Code to a Specific Page

Use Page Scripts when you want code to apply only to one page, such as animations, interactive features, or third-party integrations.

  1. Click Pages in the top menu.

  2. Find the page where you want to add the code.

  3. Click the three-dot icon (⋯) next to the page.

  4. Select Edit Page Scripts.

  5. Choose Head Scripts or Body Scripts.

  6. Paste your code.

  7. Click Save Changes.
