How to Create a Package in WHM

This guide shows you how to create a hosting package in WHM. We recommend creating one general package that can be used for multiple accounts and websites.

Prerequisites / Requirements

  • Access to WHM.

  • Your WHM login details from your welcome email.

  • An idea of the resources and limits you want to assign to the package.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Log in to WHM

Log in to WHM using the credentials provided in your welcome email.

2. Open Package Settings

In the WHM menu:

  1. Click Packages.

  2. Select Add a Package.

3. Configure the Package

Enter the resources and limits for the package, such as:

  • Disk space

  • Bandwidth

  • Email accounts

  • Other hosting resources

If you’re unsure which values to use, you can use the recommended general defaults.

4. Choose the Package Settings

Under Settings:

  1. Select a theme.

  2. We recommend paper_lantern, but you can choose another theme if needed.

  3. Click Add to create the package.

Summary / Next Steps

Your new package is now created in WHM. You can assign it to hosting accounts and use it for your websites.
