What is a nameserver?

A nameserver works like an address book for your domain. It decides where your domain points – for example, which web server displays your website and which server handles your email.

If you change nameservers, you redirect your entire domain to a new provider. This should only be done if you want your services to be managed by Miss Hosting.

When should I use Miss Hosting’s nameservers?

You should point your domain to Miss Hosting’s nameservers if you want Miss Hosting to manage your DNS – for example, if you host your website, email, or other services with us.

Our nameservers are:

ns1.misspark.com
ns2.misspark.com
ns3.misspark.com
ns4.misspark.com

Important to check before updating

Before updating your nameservers, log in to the Client Area and make sure that Registrar Lock is disabled.

  • If Registrar Lock is enabled, you will not be able to change nameservers.

  • Disable Registrar Lock in the Client Area before making the change.

Log in to the correct Client Area:

How long does it take?

Once you update the nameservers, it can take up to 24 hours for the change to propagate globally. This is called DNS propagation. During this time, your website and email may behave differently depending on where you test from.

How can I verify the change?

You can check if your nameservers have been updated by logging in to the Client Area and reviewing your domain settings.

As an additional check, you can use an online tool (for example DNS Checker). Please note that this is an external service and not part of Miss Hosting.

Done. Your domain is now pointing to Miss Hosting and all DNS management is handled by us.
