What Is SEO?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of improving your website so search engines can understand, discover, and potentially rank its pages in relevant search results.
SEO can be influenced by several factors, including:
High-quality, relevant content.
Links from other websites.
Clear page titles and descriptions.
Useful, well-organized website content.

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Open Website Health and SEO Settings
Open SiteBuilder.
Click Menu and select Settings.
Choose Website Health and SEO.
Here, you can configure the default SEO details for your website.
2. Configure Your Website’s Default SEO Details
Review and update the following fields:
Title: Set the default website title. Use a clear, descriptive title, and make individual page titles unique where possible.
Language: Select your website’s primary language.
Description: Write a concise summary that describes your website and helps visitors understand its content.
Description tips:
Keep it concise and informative; around 150 characters or fewer is a useful guideline.
Describe the website accurately.
Make the description relevant to what visitors will find on your site.
Search engines may choose to display different text in search results, depending on the query and other factors.
3. Edit SEO Settings for an Individual Page
You can configure SEO details separately for each page.
Open Pages Manager.
Click More (⋮) next to the page you want to edit.
Select Edit Page Settings.
Review the available settings:
Page Title: Set a descriptive title for the page. For example,
Mountain Tours – Contact Us.URL: Set the page address. Keep the existing URL unless you have a reason to change it.
Page Status: Set the page to offline if it should not be available to visitors.
Keywords: Add a few relevant terms if this field is available. Avoid unnecessary repetition.
Description: Write a short, accurate summary of the page.
Hidden from Navigation: Enable this option if you do not want the page to appear in your website’s navigation menu.
Set as Homepage: Select this option to make the page your website’s homepage.
Save your changes using the editor’s available save controls.
Important: Hiding a page from navigation does not necessarily prevent search engines from indexing it. Likewise, setting a page offline affects its availability to visitors, but it is not a substitute for dedicated search-engine indexing controls.
4. Choose and Use Keywords Effectively
Keywords are words and phrases people use when searching for information related to your website.
Follow these best practices:
Choose terms that accurately describe your website, services, or page content.
Use relevant terms naturally in your page content and titles.
Make each page’s title and description specific to its content.
Avoid repeating the same keywords excessively.
Review your content periodically and update it when your information or services change.
Keywords alone do not guarantee better rankings. Focus on creating useful content that meets visitors’ needs.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Will updating my SEO settings guarantee a higher ranking?
No. SEO settings help search engines understand your website, but rankings depend on many factors and cannot be guaranteed.
Should every page have the same title and description?
No. Use unique, descriptive titles and relevant descriptions for individual pages whenever possible.
Should I change a page’s URL?
Only when necessary. Changing a URL can affect existing links and search visibility, so consider the consequences before making changes.
Will hiding a page from navigation stop it from appearing in search results?
Not necessarily. Hiding a page from the navigation menu only controls whether it appears in the menu. It does not automatically prevent search engines from indexing it.
