Publish VS Preview

The difference between publishing and previewing

Updated this week

📐 Publish vs Preview Your Website

In our Sitebuilder, you can at any time choose to preview your website before making changes visible to visitors. When you’re satisfied, use the Publish function to launch the changes live.

✅ Publish the website

Used when you are done editing and want the changes to become visible online.

How to do it:

  1. Click “Publish” in the top right corner of the top menu.

  2. A publication window appears showing which domain your site will be published to.

  3. Confirm by clicking “Publish” again.

💡 Tip: You can publish your site as many times as you like — only your changes are updated.

👁️ Preview the website

Used to see how your site will appear to visitors — without publishing.

How to do it:

  1. Click the preview icon in the top right.

  2. You can now choose to preview the page in different device views:

    • Desktop

    • Tablet

    • Mobile

  3. Click on the view types to see how the site looks in each format.

  4. Want to see landscape view on mobile/tablet? Click the same icon once more.

  5. When you’re done, click the back arrow in the top left to return to edit mode.
