Prerequisites / Requirements
Before you start, make sure you have:
A product already added to your store.
The options you want to offer, such as size or color.
The values for each option, such as Small, Medium, and Large.
⚠️ Limit: Each product can have a maximum of 32 variants. The total number of combinations must not exceed 32.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Open the Product
Open Store from the left menu.
Go to Products.
Find the product you want to edit.
Click Edit.
2. Add Product Options
Scroll down to Product Options.
Click + Add Product Option.
Enter the name of the option, such as:
Size
Color
Type
Add the values for the option.
Examples:
Size: Small (120g), Medium (170g), Large (220g)
Color: Black, White, Blue
5. To add another option, click + Add Another Option.
💡 Tip: Keep option names and values short and easy for customers to understand.
3. Check the Variant Limit
Variants are created automatically from the combinations of your product options.
For example:
3 sizes × 3 colors = 9 variants
4 sizes × 3 colors = 12 variants
The total number of variants must not exceed 32.
4. Configure Each Variant
Once your options have been added, the variants are created automatically.
You can configure each variant individually, including:
Price
SKU
Weight – if using weight-based shipping
Stock level – if inventory tracking is enabled
Visibility – choose whether the variant is visible to customers
5. Hide a Variant Without Deleting It
If you want to temporarily remove a variant from your website:
Open the variant settings.
Set the variant to hidden/invisible.
Save your changes.
The variant will no longer be visible to customers, but you can make it visible again later.
6. Save Your Changes
Click Save when you have finished configuring your variants.
Preview your product before publishing to make sure all options work as expected.
