Optimizing images for SEO means using descriptive texts and tags so search engines better understand the content — increasing the chances your images show up in image search and improving your website’s visibility.


How to access image SEO-settings:

1ļøāƒ£ Click on the image on your website to open the settings panel.
2ļøāƒ£ Scroll down in the panel until you see the ā€œSEO optionsā€ section.

āœļø The following fields you can fill in:

Alt attribute (alternative text)

A short description of the image shown if the image can’t be loaded.

  • Important for SEO and accessibility.

  • Use descriptive and relevant words.
    āœ… Example: ā€œWoman with laptop in sunny officeā€

Title (title tag)

A title for the image that shows as a tooltip when a visitor hovers over the image.

  • Less important for SEO, but improves user experience.

Description

A longer text explaining the image in more detail.

  • Can contain relevant keywords.

  • Helps both users and search engines understand the image’s context.


šŸ’” Tip: Alt-text is the most important for SEO — keep it short, clear, and descriptive. Don’t use phrases like ā€œimage ofā€¦ā€ — get straight to what the image depicts.
