📸 Optimize your images for search engines
Optimizing images for SEO means using descriptive texts and tags so search engines better understand the content — increasing the chances your images show up in image search and improving your website’s visibility.
How to access image SEO-settings:
1️⃣ Click on the image on your website to open the settings panel.
2️⃣ Scroll down in the panel until you see the “SEO options” section.
✏️ The following fields you can fill in:
Alt attribute (alternative text)
A short description of the image shown if the image can’t be loaded.
Important for SEO and accessibility.
Use descriptive and relevant words.
✅ Example: “Woman with laptop in sunny office”
Title (title tag)
A title for the image that shows as a tooltip when a visitor hovers over the image.
Less important for SEO, but improves user experience.
Description
A longer text explaining the image in more detail.
Can contain relevant keywords.
Helps both users and search engines understand the image’s context.
💡 Tip: Alt-text is the most important for SEO — keep it short, clear, and descriptive. Don’t use phrases like “image of…” — get straight to what the image depicts.
