📂 Getting Started with FileZilla

FileZilla is one of the world’s most popular FTP applications. It works on Windows, Linux, Mac (OS X) and even on mobile devices, so you can always access your files.

If you’re not sure how to use FileZilla, just follow this guide – we’ll show you both how to make a quick connection and how to connect via sFTP for extra security.

🚀 Quickconnect

The easiest way to get started is by using the Quickconnect option in FileZilla’s toolbar.

Enter the following details:

  • Host: ftp.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your own domain)

  • Username: The username you received when registering via cPanel or in your welcome email

  • Password: The password from your registration or welcome email

  • Port: 21

Then click Quickconnect – done! You’ll now have instant access to your files.

🔒 sFTP Connection (Secure)

If you prefer a secure and encrypted connection, use sFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol). This is often used when connecting to your own server.

Here’s how:

  • Use the same login details as above, but change the Port to 22 (the SSH port).

  • Click Quickconnect to log in.

👉 You can also configure other ports if your server is set up that way.

✅ Summary

  • Use FTP (port 21) for a simple connection.

  • Use sFTP (port 22) for a secure, encrypted connection.

  • Your login details can be found in cPanel or in your welcome email.

With FileZilla, you can quickly and easily access, upload, and manage your files – no matter where you are.
