How to Create a Full Backup in cPanel

This guide shows you how to create and download a full backup of your website using cPanel.

Prerequisites

  • An active Miss Hosting web hosting package.

  • Access to your cPanel account.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Log in to cPanel

Log in to cPanel through your Miss Hosting Customer Zone.

2. Open Backups

In cPanel:

  1. Go to the Files section.

  2. Click Backups.

3. Start a Full Backup

Under Full Backup, click Generate/Download a Full Website Backup.

4. Select the Backup Destination

On the next page, select Home Directory from the backup destination dropdown.

5. Add an Email Notification

This step is optional.

Enter your email address if you want to receive a notification when the backup is complete.

6. Generate the Backup

Click Generate Backup to start the backup process.

Where to Find the Backup

Once the backup is complete, a .tar.gz file will be created in your home directory.

You can download the backup using cPanel or FTP.

Result

Your full website backup is now created and saved in your home directory. You can download it whenever you need to restore or move your website.
