How to Change the Domain Name of Your WordPress Site

This guide shows you how to change your WordPress site’s domain name using the Clone function in WordPress Manager.

Prerequisites / Requirements

  • Access to your Miss Hosting Client Area.

  • Access to cPanel.

  • The new domain must be available and set up on your hosting account.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Log in to cPanel

Log in to cPanel from your Client Area.

2. Open WordPress Manager

In cPanel:

  1. Scroll down to Software.

  2. Click WordPress Manager.

3. Start the Clone process

Find your WordPress installation and click Clone.

4. Select the New Domain

  1. Enter the new domain name you want to use for your WordPress site.

  2. Scroll down and click Clone installation.

Your WordPress site has now been cloned to the new domain. Check the new site to make sure everything works correctly before using the new domain as your primary website address.
