There are two ways to go about when installing a WordPress theme. Either you can use the administration panel or you can install the theme by using the cPanel File-Manager.

This is how you do it with the administration panel:

  1. Log in to your cPanel and search for "WordPress".

  2. Click on WordPress-Manager.

  3. To the right of your domain you should be able to see "Login". This will log you into your WordPress-admin without requiring any login-details.

  4. Hover over "Appearances" In the column to the left and click on "Themes".

3. On this page you should have a few alternatives to add a theme.

To choose a that the WordPress developers have created you can click on the ”Add New” button.

You can also browse among several themes in this view, as well as you can use filters to find the theme that suits your preferences.

Lastly, you can also upload a theme by pressing the ”Upload Theme” button. Choose the file that is your WordPress-theme, and click on "Ok" and it should now be uploaded.

4.If you have found a theme that suits you click the blue install button and when the installation is done you press activate and the theme will be installed.

A different method of uploading your theme is by using the cPanels File-Manager.

To install a WordPress theme using the file manager in cPanel, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.

  2. Click on the "File Manager" icon under the "Files" section.

  3. Navigate to the "wp-content/themes" directory.

  4. Upload the WordPress theme ZIP file to the "themes" directory. You can upload the file by clicking the "Upload" button at the top of the page and selecting the theme ZIP file from your computer.

  5. Once the file has finished uploading, right-click on the ZIP file and select "Extract" to extract the contents of the ZIP file into a new folder.

  6. Rename the extracted folder to the name of the theme. This is important, as the folder name will be used to identify the theme in the WordPress admin panel.

  7. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.

  8. Click on "Appearance" in the left-hand menu, then click on "Themes".

  9. You should now see your newly installed theme listed among the other available themes. Click the "Activate" button to activate the theme.

That's it! You have successfully installed and activated a WordPress theme using the file manager in cPanel.
