If you have registered a domain and want to point it to your Miss Hosting VPS, there are two different ways to do this. Below are two guides on how to do it.

Free DNS service: You can use our free DNS service to point your domain to your VPS. Go to our advanced zone editor and change the IP address to your VPS server. You also need to add a pointer for your hostname to the server's IP address. If you want to use email for your domain, you need to point the MX record to your hostname on the server under MX record in your cPanel.

To point a domain to a cPanel DNS server, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to cPanel and navigate to "Zone Editor" under the "Domains" section.

  2. Select the domain you want to point and click "Manage".

  3. Create a new DNS record by clicking "Add Record" and choose the type of record you want to create, such as A record, CNAME record, MX record, etc.

  4. Fill in the information for the new record, including the desired value and destination.

  5. Click "Add Record" to save the record.

  6. Repeat steps 3-5 for each DNS record you want to create.

  7. When you are finished, exit "Zone Editor".

It may take up to 24-48 hours for DNS records to propagate globally, so be patient if it takes some time before your changes start working.

To add a DNS zone in OnApp, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your OnApp control panel. Typically, the URL to your OnApp control panel will be something like https://[your-server-ip]/login.

  2. Click on "DNS" in the left-hand menu.

  3. Click on "Add New Zone".

  4. Enter the domain name for which you want to create a DNS zone and click "Create".

  5. The zone is now created, and you can add the necessary DNS records. Click "View Records" next to the zone to add records.

  6. Click "Add New Record" to add a new record.

  7. Choose the record type you want to add, such as A record, CNAME record, or MX record.

  8. Fill in the required information, such as hostname, IP address, etc.

  9. Click "Create" to save the record.

  10. Repeat steps 6-9 for each DNS record you want to add.

  11. When you have finished adding records, click "Back to Zone" to return to the zone's main page.

  12. Exit the "DNS" menu by clicking on "Back to Server" or "Logout".

Once the DNS zone has been created and records have been added, it is important to change the nameservers for your domain to the nameservers provided by OnApp. Typically, the nameservers you need to use are: ns1.missdns.net, ns2.missdns.net, ns3.missdns.net, and ns4.missdns.net. This can be done by logging in to your domain registrar and changing the nameservers.
